why my kicker solobaric L5 not working? i only use it for a week.
i bought 2 L5 10 inches sub from local shop.
they hook it up parallel 1 ohm to my rf 500bd mono amps ....
after a week, 1 sub stop working and other make flapping noise.
i open and inspect found one of the wire to the sub plate is broken off..
what happen? did i over power it?

no my amp does not run hot at all.
do sub blow if the sub design at 4ohms and you wire it down to 2ohms?
i think my blow cuz underpower?
well today i went to the shop that i bought the sub from..they swap out the sub.
according to them when i first got the sub they told me that they hook it up to 1ohm....actually the sub is dual 4ohms.. i figure it out when i read the manual, that the sub can only wire down 2ohms...
im not really car stereo expert, like i said before.
any how, i ask them why the wire to the coil blew? they said my amp is not stable at 1ohm?
wat the heck, it not even running at 1ohms, according to the book, if the sub is dual 2ohms then it can wire to 1ohm, but the one i got is dual 4ohm. so from now on, through that experience i do not wanna go back there and shop again...they lie.

2 4 ohm dual voice coil subs WILL be 1 ohm if all vc's are ran in parallel. You are dealing with 2 subs, not one. I don't know how your amp survived the ordeal though. It should have died before the subs.
