what size tire should i get for a 5th gen? 205 40 17 or 215 45 17???

 

215/45/17 you would want the tires a bit bigger for a lude

 

what offset would you recommend 35 or 40...thanx in advance

 

the higher the offset, the less rubbing issues.

i'm running 215/40 with 48+ offset.

 

you may have rubbing issues, particularly in the front, with 215/45s depending on your drop (if you are lowered).

i have 215/40s w/ a prokit drop (1.4~1.5inch) and had a minor rubbing issue with front right. but fixed easily by cutting the inner fender liner a lil bit.

try to get close to the +55 as you can regardless of whether you are dropped or not.

 

yeah i plan atleast a 2 inch drop....whats the bolt pattern for the 5th gen?

 

ahh the most offset they offer is 40....with 215 40 17....what size rims did you have with the running issue? 17's? i think imma just have to cut the liner :D

my z5000 wheels are 17 X 7. you may or may not have rubbing issues. it's pretty much case-by-case thing, imo.

just be sure to align the car properly after you lower the vehicle. and invest into camber kits if necessary.

 

yes of course....don't want my tires wearing out in like 2 months...
