What is the width of your wheel? 205/45/17 is a pretty standard size for 17x7 rims. 205/40/17 would be way too small for an accord, but technically, it will still fit the rim, it would just look like a strung out rubber band, and if you don't have a camber kit, say bye bye to those expensive tires.

Also, you want a decent amount of tire sidewall so that way when, and believe me, it is WHEN, not IF, you hit a pothole, you won't damage your rim.

You could easily go to a 235/40/17 and if your worried about lowering and rubbing, a 225/45/17 will work with zero rubbing!!

205/40/17 is just too small that's the max size for a Civic go with at least 225/45/17 that's a good fit for your car

most 17x7 rims are +40 offset. anything bigger then 215 width will rub. i ran 215/45-17 kumho 712's. worked great.

low profile tires looks better but it dont think it's worth all the bouncy ride(if you area suck like mine that is).

low profile tires don't give you a bouncy ride if you have a good suspension set up with adj dampers. You might feel a little bit stiffer but if you set it up right there will not be a big difference.
