Default i think i know reason for poor dyno numbers

Regarding the post I made earlier about my trip to the Bellingham dyno day a few months back, https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1 I was seriously dumbfounded as to why my numbers were so low! Anyway, I was cleaning my foam filter and blew down on the tube to blow out maybe some small debris and heard something fall down. Jacked the car up to do my oil change and put my hand in the intake arm to pull out a fist-sized styrofoam piece! It must have been there since I got my car back so I think that's why I got low numbers. Someone said that there was air being restricted.

It was being sucked perfectly into the hole just under the filter!!

Where did it come from? Only styrofoam I can think of is from the 5 mph bumper support (thingies)

pretty sure it came from the Hinshaw Honda's Autobody shop when they put the front end on,(maybe came from the packing material) the only way it could get in was from being dropped in through the top with the filter off

yeah, it was honda hinshaw's mistake because they repaired all the body damage from the wreck my friend put my car through. they installed the icebox so the styrofoam must've dropped in there and they didn't notice it. also, a couple weeks after i had my car back, i was poking around in my motor bay and in the back there was an aresol can chillin'!! they do however do excellent work and the problems that i did have, they jumped on it with good service so no worries.

so it couldn't have been sucked up there in everyday driving?

I frequently find leaves, small children, etc in mine.

Which one is Hinshaw's?

I'm applying at Acura of Bellevue . Talked to the manager already too. GoodYear Gemini just isn't cutting it

Spring? Maybe i'll have my ITR by then. We can make a run down there and be dyno buddies

yeah, and I personally dont think it could of been sucked up from everyday driving (don't see how something that big could of gotten through the bottom of the intake) ... and you should complain to Acura, maybe you can get something free, or some more work comped??

Hell yeah, i wouldn't let them touch that car again just get a discount on some parts.Thats unacceptable ,I bet when they installed it some of the packing material snuck it's way into the arm and became lodged.
