Default 89 carb'd accord, what motors will swap in easily?

ok, would a b16 or a ZC fit easily into an 89 carb'd accord? would either one of them be beneficial in the car as far as performance goes?

thanks in advance

Look into the JDM B20A engine. With special mounts it'll bolt right in. That's a 160hp motor to start, and you can increase a bunch more with the right mods.

H series engines will not swap into your car easily. It's a huge job and you will need lots of $$$ to do it. With special mounts, the B series engines will fit right into a 3G accord.

Here's a link regarding engine swaps in the 3G, and specs on newer b series engines

The rest of 3geez has lots of info on your car that is worth checking out.

Easisest swap would be the Accord JDM B20. It comes in a fuel injected version and can easily be swapped to a carb. I also believe there is a carb version available. Check out http://www.3geez.com for more details.

please refrain from talking out of your ***...

I agree with 88LXi68. Go with the Accord JDM B20. The B16 isn't much of an improvement for every day driving, IMO.

BTW.... I just thought I should add that I have an LS/Vtec in my 88 accord, but for the cost the JDM B20A is the easiest route.

Night and day difference. No numbers yet because I live in the Northeast and the car is away for the winter.
