Default Repairing carbon fiber?

is there any way to fix cracks in the resin on my hood....big cracks....0 degree weather fucked me up....any info would be great

unless you have chips in the clear coat of the hood (resin) the resin wont be able to soak into the crck and fix it, its the same as using that superglue glass crack fix ****.. you inject superglue through a seringe into the crack...

ive actually repared a huge spiderweb in a cf hood recently.. if you take your time you can almost completly hide it.. gotta use like a dremel and cut the crack away but not to hit the cf cloth or youll **** the weave up.
then re resin it and buff it smooth..
the hardest part is because of the way hoods are they arnt buffed smooth, if you look at them at an angle they are wavey.. so when you buff the scratch out the finish ends up looking nicer than the rest because its actually a smooth surface

ive drivin my eg with my cf hood for 2 years now, it has seen minus 40 degree weather here in toronto and nuthing went wrogn with it...

well i think i figured it out, i got my oil changed the other day, and the ******* at the lace popped the hood with out undoin the hoodpins first, i figure it was so cold that it couldn't take the stress...

Im in Indy and my hood has went to ****.. o well im gonna get a new hood in spring and keep this POS for a winter hood
