Default What's my T28 good for?

I have a T28 with HKS manifold. How much boost are these turbos good for? Any estimated HP #'s they peak at? Thanks

Is 350-400whp unrealistic with this turbo? I have a B18A with some mods.

JE Pistons
Eagle H-Beam Rods
STR Block Guard
Skunk 2 Intake Manifold
EF-1 L28 Cams

Yes, it is unrealistic. The T28 has a 31lb compressor, most I've heard of (unverified) is 320whp.

Well this just sucks Is it even worth it with my setup, or should I stick with whatever I can get out of this turbo?

you can answer that. What are you goals? If they exceed 300hp, you should consider something else...

T25/T28 are cute turbo but not up to task with the big boys get a T3/T04E, you'll be much more happy.

T3 is good for upwards of 350whp.
Plus, they're cheap and common.

T04E compressor housing, T3 turbine housing. It isn't too large...almost perfect actually.

I think it will. I'm only going to run 0.4 bar until I can afford to build my block, but I went ahead and bought a large turbo so that I wouldn't have to buy a new one when i wanted to boost more.

Saves you $ in the long run. I never planned on building my motor, but now that I have I need something a little larger

depends on what you want, that turbo can make around 300 at most but b/c of the size, you get boost alot sooner as compared to a t3/t4. that turbo can be a very fun streetable turbo.

But if your lookin for an all out high horsepower drag turbo. look elsewhere
