two ?'s RE: screws for rotors and weird idle or electrical problem
ok 1st question:
i replaced my rotors today and when i was taking the old ones out i was forced to drill out the screws that hold them in place,do i NEED to replace them or are they just there to hold the rotors when the wheel is off?
2nd question,
my stock tach is reading at 200-300 rpms during idle yet the car seems to sound and idle fine leading me to believe its electrical. when i'm driving the tach reads correctly, vtec engages at the right rpms, etc. (btw this is intermintent)
it started happining after the following mods,
new cat back w/ a resonated test pipe (obd1 btw)
vortech fpr w/ b&m fuel gauge.
its just weird how the tach reads 200-300 rpms but yet the cars idle is fine,i know what 300 rpms sound like and its normally sound like ts going to turn off and runs rough. anybody ever have ths happen to their car? any help greatly appreciated.

mine does the same thing, by sometime idling at 2-300. But it even was happening before i got my B&M FPR, so that couldn't be the problem. it only happens sometimes also. It' real annoying. Almost feels like it's going to die sometimes, but never does.
