i was wondering if this is normal its hooked up using the usdm harness. its a 93cx with an lx dash harness. does any one no why? thanks in advance
Cars in Japan do not have brightness adjustments, hence your JDM cluster not adjusting with your brightness controling thingy. I bet your dash lights get dimmer/brighter though, right?

yeah they still work i think thats where the coin pocket goes anyway. thanks for the reply
I've heard stories of people getting JDM clusters with old/used bulbs that aren't bright at all...take the bulbs out of the back of the cluster, go match them up at pep boys with some new ones

Yup, just plug 'em in and twist.

Worth a shot
I think the jdm bulbs have amber condoms on them instead of blue condoms...if thats the case just switch the condom over

Nope, mine didn't. I had to replace half the bulbs when I got it. They are just plain bulbs no condoms at all.

Same here. My EK4 SiR cluster lights up amber on its own, no need for the colored condoms. I did however mess with the covering for the two bulbs up top. I still can't figure out why Honda kept those blue! I just went over mine with a orange highlighter. Came out good.

ya,mine is the same.i was told when you replace the climate control its alot brighter, but an eg6 climate control wont go in a us spec hatch.you can only change the cover and lights.just like everyone is saying just change the bulbs.

Yup, that is correct. The bulbs will swap right out, just use the condoms. However it won't become much more bright.

i'm runnign a jdm dx cluster. bascily the same as a usdm but with a tach, and speed in kmh. i had the same problems with the dimmer. but i guess the brighter the better.
i just recently did the amber bulbs in my cluster and climate control and it looks great. also anyone got an idea on how to get the "door ajar" light to work on the jdm 4dr clusters?

yO! on my jdm eg2 del slow cluster, i took the dimmer off the usdm cluster and made it work on the jdm one, i just left it behind the cluster inside the dash and set how dim i wanted it to be and put the jdm cluster in, prestO!
