Default ticking noise ?!

recently while driving my car everytime i make a left turn and aslo hard braking . i hear a loud clicking or ticking noise from the drivers side front wheel . i just want to confirm if this is a cv joint or an axle problem ?! because if it is i would like to get it fixed as soon as possible . also i noticed if i drive my car for awhile i noticed that i start to smell like burnt rubber or plastic from the inside and outside of the drivers side . the scent is not present anywhere else except around this certain area . i checked to see if it was any wires under the dash or plastic bags under the car . can anyone help me ?! its an 94 accord lx . thanks for any replies .

Sounds like a bad CV joint that is making that noise. Usually a bad CV joint will make a clicking sound when the wheels are turned sharply to the left or right under acceleration. As far as the smell I have no clue.

the smell (if it smeels like burning wires) is your brakes overheating for some reason.... ( i have done this many many many many times) you may need an old fashioned brake bleed

yor clicking is probably a CV. there not that hard to do it your self. just have to take the knuckle off, breaks.....blah, blah,.....check out your haynes manual they have a good discription. the burning smell......have you had your oil changed lately? it could be residual from when they took your filter off.
