DSM turbo on 94 ex accord???
I have seen all kinds of posts about people using DSM headers and other things for their accords but could i use a DSM turbo and buy all the piping to fit my car??
well that really depends on what you pay for the new unit and what you pay for the old. . . you have to decide if the differential is worth it. Making the set up yourself is relatively easy if you are clear on all the concepts. If you can weld, thats even better, you could save a lot by cutting and welding the charge piping yourself. Greddy is fine, but Turbonetics and Precision also make very good turbos. I can't comment on Edelbrock because I know nothing about them. Bottom line though, is that it will be a bit cheaper doing it yourself, but how much depends on your choices, like mild steel vs. inconel, custom tubular manifold vs. cast piece, and so on.
I am an idiot I was thinking dsm manifold cause thats common too.... man I need to read before I type....
dsm turbochargers are too small in my opinion... they would spool super quick and be good for lower boost budget setup but they run out of their efficiency and whatnot pretty quickly when you start turning up the boost.

5 lbs of boost isnt much.... i know a buddy with a dsm and turbo set up and he said something like 14 lbs with out intercooler.... i am not sure if the turbo was still stock or not?

you cannot use the DSM turbo manifold on 94 up accords f22b1/b2 the ports are aligned differently however you can use the T-25 i have one for sale actually and i could prolly find some injectors if anyones interested PM me, You could prolly wiff everything up for 1k if you know where to look and have some pacience.
at 5psi with the correct tune and whatnot you would not need a cooler but I would never go past 8psi unintercooled on a smaller turbo (my opinion only).
14psi on a dsm unit is possible on the stock lower with proper a/f, timing, etc.

I have 2 DSM sidemount intercoolers in my garage collecting dust, willing to sell just make your offer. Alot of local guys in my city run dsm setups, 14b turbo from 1stgen dsms, dsm 450cc injectors, cast manifold or tubular your choice.. dsm sidemounts fit nice in civics, these twin brothers that live down the street both performed these mods on their civics except one of them bought a front mount. but the sidemount intercooler though its small in size it's enough to run a 12 second quarter mile. Cheap dsm'ers have been doing that for years.. lemme know if any interest.

like he said, the manifolds is like o oo o instead of o o o o i think or the other way around... but sometimes members on the board got the piping & etc for sale for a cheap price so you can build a kit for a decent price... and with the psi , one member is running 14 psi if i remember right with a stock block & with a bigger turbo than a t25 if im not wrong, go search the board for him for more info...gluck
