at least they are consistent...
Compression tests usually dont have a specific number because it has to do with more variables than just condition of the engine...

Most GSR's i'd imagine have around 200psi +/-

did you do it with the engine hot? did you press the throttle all the way while cranking for each cylinder? did you remove the ECU fuse?

try again man 160 seems kinda low. my LS had 180 on all 4 with 120k KM.

If you are really worried I would take it back for a leakdown. This would tell what is leaking where, if anything at all. It could be something as simple as needing a valve adjustment. It could also just be a weak starter motor.

I wouldn't think that could effect it because when the air is compressed within the cylinder and actually registers on the guage is when all the valves are closed, therefore a leak on the intake shouldn't effect anything. If it was the case that it would effect it then your air filter would screw you every time.

160 all around seems alright, just as long as it's consistent.. that's all you really want. how many times did you crank the motor? i got about 200 all around when i cranked it 5 times, and 235 all around when i cranked it 'til the needle stopped going up

k, i just asked the mechanic who did the testing and he says this is normal for all honda engines. he says even preludes and civics all have around this #...
he says if i use another guage i may get a higher reading. hmm, maybe i should try that. what's a good guage to get? how much are they? How do you use them? Like how do I actually check my compression?
Thanx.
