I got a ticket yesterday.....I'm so embarrassed!
Yesterday I was driving into the Okanagan with a girlfriend of mine. We are driving along at about 20 over the speed limit (generally with the flow of traffic) and then my Valentine 1 starts going beserk warning of a laser trap up ahead. At first I couldn't see anything, but then I could see waaaay ahead there were two cops wearing yellow jackets in the median pulling cars over. By the time I reach them I'm going the speed limit and see that one of the guys is getting ready to jump out and motion for me to pull over. ****! So I pull over and roll my illegal tinted windows down and start thinking about how much the ticket is going to be. Damn! ****! ****!
So he asks me for my licence and registration. And I'm like WTF!? How fast was I going? I thought for sure I was dead because it was a handheld laser detector they were using. He says 90 in a 100. So I'm like 90 in 100? Hmm that's shouldn't be too bad of a fine? Then I realize that I was clocked going BELOW the speed limit.
The cop gave me a warning FOR DRIVING TOO SLOW! He said I was impeding the flow of traffic (not obeying a traffic signal) and that they clocked someone behind me doing 122. At first I was going to argue with the guy - but then I saw that he was smiling and told me to drive faster. So I just laughed and did a peel out back onto the highway. That was really weird - but I guess I can thank my V1 for saving the day yet again. My friend and I had a really good belly laugh and I made sure I picked up the pace in the meatime.
I guess I should wear a heavier right shoe.

I have the same experience!! The gas station put in some 87 octane gas for me by mistake, and due to the high compression I am running, I was so scare that I am going to blow the engine, so I was going like 80-90kph on a highway that have 110kph speed limit!!
So all of a sudden, I saw a police car light up their light and pulled me over, and I was like WTF?? There is no way I was going too fast!! So I asked why he pull me over and the officer told me that I was going so slow that make he think there is something up with me!! So I explain what happened at the gas station and ****.. and he just said have a good nite and let me go!! Me and my friends really have a good laugh at it for awhile too!!
P.S. That was at like 2am on a highway that have NO car around except me and that cop car!! Also, I got pull over the next time I was on that highway for going 115kph at the 100kph zoon, but the 110kph sign was like less than 400m ahead and it was 4am WTF!! (But lucky he let me go)
So my conclusion is: The cops in Alberta really have nothing better to do at night, so they start to pull over ppl that going 10kph over the speed limit when there is no car in sight within a km!!

You got a ticket for going too slow? I thought the posted speedlimit was a maximum speed. Fight it. The guy probably wanted to give you a ticket regardless since approaching the last of the month and they need to meet their quotas. I can see if you were going less than 80, but you were going 90. Fight it, all you did was either let your foot off the throttle to stretch your feet or you were slowing down because you saw a disabled vehicle on the road ahead.

Traffic Tickets = A cops way of making money.
