I have recently sent my block to spark racing for sleeving and I will be getting it back thursday. I asked the same thing before I sent it and heard nothing but good things. The service was awsome as well. I wrote to confirm delivery a few days after it got there and they told me it was done and being shipped out that day. I reccomend it.

How about Benson sleeves ? Earl can help you from the beginning inlcuding assembly as well.

Again, there's a HUGE difference between eagle rods and pauter in pricing, At least $ 350 alone...that alone should say something about quality....

hi,

not necessarily expensive means better quality.

although I've heard pauter rods have been thicker and look stronger.
But its all relative to the amount of power, and people swear by eagles who are pushing 500+

anyways, just IMO, just cause something is more expensive doesn't necessarily mean its better quality.. For example, BOSE stereos.. blah!

but good posts nonetheless, i am considering sleeving.

Part of my reason behind my post is becasue I have had not so good luck with Eagle rods, again people's luck with it are differ and relative. I just have heard more problem with streching with Eagle and any problem at all with Pauter or Crower...( I swear by crower)

But again, nothing is bulletproof but I'll take my chances on 3/8" bolts

if you want to wait 4 months to have rs do your block.

then send it to them and then when the 4 months are up they call you to tell you its done .

and the following day you drive 600 miles to pick it up when you get there you find out they havent even touched it yet and then when they do assemble it they accidentley deck the block fifty thousands to far and they didnt know that the pistons where going to slap the bottom of your head because the didnt blueprint the motor like they were supposed to do,

thats what happened to me now a.e.b.s is doing my new motor

rs gets a big from me

I'll vouch for this, I didnt expect my block back until the end of the month due to the 2 week policy and hollidays, but I will be getting it tomorrow...if ups is on time that is.

Its easier for people to point the finger at someone rather than try and find out exactly why there is a problem in the first place, thats life and for some the outcome of this behavir is shitty

on another note:

I just recently visited RS and had the opertunity to speak with both Jon and Rich, they are both great guys with a passion for what they do. They were very informative and very helpful. The thing that I admired about them is that they stand behind their products 150% ant take care of each of their customers as if they were their only. Jon spends A TON of time on the phone with customers answering question after question as does Rich and Mike.

Good guys over there, great products

RS gets a from me

Yes please tell Fred to tell the truth...Ask him did he even see the block? Ask him why the person that assembled his motor didnt give him any help?Ask him why the person that told him that he had a problem with the block always has a problem with any block that comes from here? Ask him what Pro or even street cars this person has that is out there running Times? Let me ask you Why are you being such a hatter???? Who are you anyway.
