for now I guess you should opt for the 550 cc.

Has anybody actually tried running the hack with 550's? I've heard people really struggle to get the car to run well off boost but I don't know anybody personally who tried it.

Once you build it up, you're gonna want the 550's in there, so it would suck to have to buy another set of injectors all over again, but 550's aren't gonna be easy to control on an AFC I can tell you that much.

i am running an ls vtec, vafc, gm 3 bar, rc 550cc
i cant get it to run right it idles like crap and it if i mash the throttle down it responds like crap.
any suggestions on settings for midrange response
i'm thinking about putting 310 cc to get it drivable
it wants to idle way high almost at times to 4 g's i think it might be the idle control valve when i relocated the radiator for turbo i dropped it below the thermostat so it isn't completly full with coolent, so there is air in the system i am thinking maybe it is screwing with the idle valve
help help
help me please i have been trying to fix it for over a month

IMO, you should just run DSM 450cc's which I heard are very Hack friendly, and are cheap, and then upgrade later when you're ready to tune with something better.

wish i knew too...i am runnin b18c1, vafc II, missing link, and rc 550's. idles at 850 rpm or so, but have to baby it up through mid-range til i can start gettin on it...

what do u have the vafc set at for the lower rpm's? as soon as the snow gets off the road i think i am gonna put in some new plugs and set the afc to -50% up to about 3k rpm...once in boost the 550's seem fine...just hard to tune down low...will bring to the dyno to get tuned properly but have to make sure i can get it to make it there without foulin out 3 sets of plugs...
