Stock B-Pipe with fitted Axleback Exhuast?
Okay here is the deal, Right now I have Tanabe Racing Medallion Cat Back Exhuast on my car and it's kinda snappy. And I just put on a JDM Kakimoto N1 axleback on my car with the Tanabe B-Pipe, and its LOUD!!! It sounds like its straight piped loud. Oh yeah, and I am running a JDM 4-1 Header and Test Pipe also. But what I am wondering, if anyone has a header, test pipe (or high flow cat), Stock R B-Pipe, and an aftermarket axleback exhuast thats a N1 style. Cause what I am thinking of doing is getting rid of my Tanabe Racing Medallion, buying a stock ITR B-Pipe (I sold mine) and fitting the Kakimoto N1 axleback on it. But what I dont want is to do all that work and then have it sound LOUD just like with the Tanabe B-Pipe and not be quieter at all. So if anyone has done this, how does it sound or how do you think it will sound??

Yes, a million times better.
I know a guy who ran a stock midpipe with his muffler on a GSR to try and tone down the noise, it worked and he only lost about 1.5 horses across the powerband. But then again, his exhaust was from some company I've never heard of before, so I don't know how it compares to stock. We never dyno'd my friends car with the stock exhaust or I'd know.

yeah i think it is 2 1/2 if not very close, its the same size as my Racing Medallion, and where i got it from was a buddy of mine bought it off the Net, the whole cat back for $150
haha, I knew i should have bought it from him before he cut the b-pipe to fit his car, oh well

Soo, you are running the Tanabe B-pipe w/Kaikamoto axle back?
does the Tanabe B Pipe have a resonator built in?
If not you could have a resonator welded in the b-pipe to quiet things down a bit.
You can pick one up here

If there is already a resonator, you could pick up another, one of shorter length and weld it in somewhere down stream from the first..
Your local muffler shop could do that for fairly cheap.
That's what I had to do w/my custom 2.5" kit..
