using headlights as strobes
has anyone ever connect there headlights for strobes? anyone know how to connect the parking lights and the low beam and high beam to the alarm, so when its tripped all the lights will go off and have a strobe look to it
I would just buy a strobe and tap into the corners(clears will help here definately). The headlight don't illuminate fast enough to even resemble a strobe. Luckily there are many ricers. So strobes are cheap

i dont think you can use can use normal halogen lights for strobes. They're not fast enough.

that still doesn't change the fact that halogens are not fast enough for strobes.

Haha.
To the original poster. Drill a hole and insert these
You could connect them to an alarm output, or use the siren output to trigger a relay to give them power.

wig wags are cool. i have a set in my rex. might consider letting em go since I never use em though. looks confusing to hook up, but they really arent. has multiple patterns to choose from too. much better than using those stupid cheap apc strobe kits that blink at the rate of like 45 flashes per minute randomly.

I believe this is the first time I ever posted in this forum....oh well.
Try http://www.radartest.com There is a link in there for something called SunDance. That's the system cops use to alternate their high beams back and forth. It's pretty cheap from there and you can pretty much put it on any car. Even comes with an optional kit to install it.
Whoever posted those little "*****" strobes, I hope you know those strobes will barely light up anything. Those are those APC-ish $20 lights that you buy from Pep Boys and such. Sure, if that's what you want, then go ahead.
But if you want what you see at shows, you'll have to get the real system. Those are pretty pricey, at about $400+. You need the control module, as well as the bulbs. The bulbs aren't cheap either. I haven't looked into them in a LONG LONG time, but depending on how many lights you want, that's the number of "contacts" your module must have. For example an 4 bulb module will not cost as much as a 6 or 8 bulb module. However, it can only light 4 bulbs at a time, and that's it.
Call me a ricer, but I always thought real police strobes were kinda cool.
