Default The simplest explanation is usually correct.

I leave my girl's house this morning and discover that my car sounds like a lawnmower. Worst sound ever.

There was zero ***** at all (it wouldn't go above 60k) and the whole motor was shaking. I could feel it up into the shift even.

After the most embarassing drive ever (people everywhere literally were stopping and pointing as I went by), I go into my friend's shop and we check under the hood. We think it's the exaust manifold gasket is pooched or somethng with the manifold, so we tighten it up cause a few bolts were loose for starters.

That doesn't work, and by this time I'm picturing dollar signs just flying out of the engine. Then, we're both looking in trying to see if there's anything else loose or something small like that before we go to the trouble of taking off the manifold, and one of the wires with the plug falls out of the block. One of my plugs had just fallen out. Weird.

Put it back in. Nothing was stripped, but that fixed the problem. All the other plugs were in tight. Has anyone else ever had a plug just come loose and fall out? Seemed pretty fluke to me.

After a ticket yesterday, I'm pretty stoked that another large bill/pain in the *** didn't fall into my lap.

Well depending on what type of plug it was....maybe, over time with road vibration bumps etc things can loosen and thats usually why they make stops on all plug connection (at least my car does its a 90). That is kinda weird, but at least you got it fixed without $$$$$ flying out of your pocket.

Do you mean a spark plug + the wire? If a spark plug came out, the car would indeed run like ***, have no ***** and sound horrible.

If you're positive it wasn't stripped, then it probably just wasn't torqued down properly. But you'd better watch out for the next little while. You were lucky the plug didn't shoot through the hood or something

I'm starting to suspect that perhaps the plug was "helped" loose. It's not stripped and everything else was in tight.

My girl's ex lives across the street from her, and he's a douchebag like that. I'm ******* pissed.

i shot a spark plug outta my block. it put a reverse ding in my hood.
it was wierd, sound like a v8 that is running shitty.
i went and popped my hood and #2 plug and wire were half way out. i put it back in and tighten all the other down to make sure they werent gonna do the same thing.
havent had a problem yet.

you should be suspecting why he is still near your girl or under her car? but maybe that idiot forgot to tighten one if he was trying to help out, buttttt 4 slashed tires usually does the job for me if you hate on someone :]
