well as most know..a cold s2k tranny sucks ***...last night it was freezing about 6 degrees and i couldnt get my car into gear. i had to wait til the car warmed up a little until i could play with the damn shifter so i could get into 1st gear...and reverse is a total other story..reverse is the worst!!! ok..ive been searching all day yesterday for a good solution (oil) to use in the tranny...so i have narrowed it down
good tanny oil's:
Redline Mt90
GM Synchromesh friction modified
Honda MTF
Pennzoil synchromesh
if anybody has any other choices for a tranny oil in the cold please let me know..and a reminder this is just for the cold..i will def switch to something else when it gets warm again

Not quite that cold here, but it did reach high 30s not too long ago. I recently (last week) to GM Synchromesh friction modified and I did notice a difference when cold. I wake up early in the morning to go to work, I think the coldest it's been in the last week is mid 40s.
Definitely less of the Honda notchy feeling.
I have not used any other tranny oil in this car. However in my old Integra I have used Redline Mt90 & Honda MTF. My Integra will be the next to use GM Synch. FM when I find some time.

its -4°F right now...
my clutch pedal on my e30 325iS is rock hard.
Ive got ATE Super Blue fluid in my brake/clutch hydraulics
I was told the best thing for me to do is use Redline synthetic in the gearbox and differential.
I assume the Redline fluid would work fine for you too

gm synchromesh is good for like the first 1000 miles, then it breaks down pretty quickly. honda mtf is known to last the longest.
i use mtf and its fine.
