Default RSX-S Problems

For the past two weeks my cousin has noticed his check engine light blinking when he is at idle. We checked his spark plugs which were white. He changed out the plugs at that time. Well that didn't solve the problem it did it again today. We checked the plugs again and fuel injectors. They were both alright. Do any of you guys have any clue to what it might be? He has I/H/E and Hondata on his car right now.

Take off the negative battery terminal on his car and reset the ECU.

Scan the ECU to diagnose the problem.

Why do people post that they have a check engine light on asking what it is when all they have to do is scan the ECU and find out? Do not want to sound synical but this does not make sense.

Why just reset it? There is usually a reason that it is illuminated.

Dude... before you do all that tighten the gas cap until you hear it clicking. Wait 1 day (takes that long), but make sure you drive some during this time. I usually fill up in Jersey where they only have full service (by law) and these idiots sometimes don't screw the cap on tight and the check engine light keeps showing. If this is the cause, it'll save you some headache of diagnosing all that other stuff.

A blinking light is bad!!!!! It means the ECM is sensing a potentially catastrophic failure about to happen. It blinks when the engine is badly misfiring or the car is running reallly lean. It needs to go to a proper repair facility and get scanned for the code(s).
Quit dicking around "guessing" what is wrong, ie, "hey lets just **** $$$ away and try a set of plugs." Those plugs are good for 100+k, why swap them???
