Default What is the best brake fluid?

I am changing my fluid tonight hopefully and wanted to know what the best fluid was.. Also how much does the whole system take? ABS system too??

Depends on how often you're willing to bleed the system . . . .

Personally, I use the Valvoline DOT 3/4 synethetic. Perfect for daily driving street use, inexpensive, and easy to find.

Unless you're seeing track time, anything more is totally overkill in my opinion.

yep valvoline is the best for DD, because motul 600 is expensive as hell...

anyone out there using castrol xrf?

ATE Super Blue fluid. It's really nice stuff, but a tad expensive.

i thought I remembered hearing of a Ford brake fluid that is great for hard use in the Prelude.....

Hello BLUE Oval parts dept. Ford HD brake fluid is totally compatibele with HOnda and has a higher boiling point. Price-not a factor.

I use ATE Super Blue as well, but I don't recommend it unless you are changing your brakefluid 2x/year - It is much more hydrophillic than others
