Default some short shifters suck

Just thought I would share a little story with you guys about my expierence with my short shifter from Ractive.

I always thought it was a great product, throws were shorter and all that, and it looked good too. but recently I havent been so satisfied with it. I was also reading a post regaurding the fastline performance shifter and how it worked, using same as stock shift throw with a taller stance. So then I said to myself, lets try the stocker out again.

I put the stock shifter in today, and I never thought I would be so pleased, shifts sooo much smoother, feels like a dream , oh and get this. the past couple of weeks, Ive had trouble getting into fourth gear, and I thought for sure it was my trannys shift fork or syncro or something like that, now it goes into gear the first time, every time with no fuss. I could not believe it, the short shifter I praised all this time ( for about 2 yrs. ) is now obsolete to me.

Moral of the story is that some stock parts cant be beat! well, I would like to try out that fastline shifter though, but stock diffedently rocks. shows how much I thought I knew about short shifters

do you think your problems were because of the ractive shifter itself, or any short shifter in your application? i'm really happy with my dc sports shifter, sometimes it's a little rough, but overall.

Aftermarket parts can be better then oem just dont replace them with cheap ****. Put nice stuff on your car and it will perform well.
