Help with Lights??
A few months ago i got a new cd player and had to ghetto install with e-tape as apposed to using connectors, and it blew my tail light, instrument light, and running light fuses. Yesterday i re-wired and installed the cd player properly and changed all fuses accordingly and still no tail lights, running lights or instrument lights. Any ideas on what to do here? When the problem occured before I just changed the fuses and everything was fine. Please help.

i have done numerous headunit installs, many with electrical tape, and never seen this happen. You sure you didn't cut something you weren't supposed to? The lights and the stereo shouldn't affect one another unless you removed a ground somewhere..

yes i checked both boxes. The orange wire coming out of the wiring harness is for the instrument cluster and it wasn't capped off before and it was touching something causing that fuse to blow. It's all re wired properly and with new fuses. So...... no wires are touching each other or anything inside the dash. I don't know either????

Oh, and i never cut anything. Just plugged the wiring harness into the factory one, then connected the wires from the harness to the cd player wires and installed.
