its not a normal squeal it sounds like a clinking or something i tightend the belt but it didnt work,

i also got belt dressing and if i spry it anywhere on the belt it will stop for about 10 hours then start again.

do i need new belts? or what

i have aem underdrive pullies.

 

Yes just replace it it doesnt take that long

if it was the pullies then when you put the belt dressing then it wouldnt go away.

check the belt for cracks and abnormal wear on it first.

 

i did notice that one of my belts is rubbed down on the outside of the belt looks like it scraped on something, im assuming this would be Mr. problem.

 

re-torque your pulley bolt and replace the belt if it's wearing out unevenly. tighten up the new belt so you have about 1/4" slack or less.. tighten as needed.

 

Yeah my belt started that squeal about a month ago. As soon as I replaced it that squeal was gone.

 

mine did that too.. that crap is sooo loud and friggin embarrassing...

changed the belt and it never squealed again'

 

the ac condenser uses a clutch type mechanism to spin it, its probably locking up. Mine did the same thing, I needed to get a new condenser

 

just change the belt first. not very often will you need to replace the condensor.
