fuel injector cleaning??
is there such thing. i went to get a tune up and they said my injectors needs to be serviced. is there anything i can do to "service" them myself?? If so, would this be hard. or just take them out and like clean them or something? please any help woudl be great. thanks guys!
You have two choices: a) use an injector cleaner, which you use a couple of times by pouring it into your fuel tank (these work best when you are low on fuel), or b) have them cleaned and bleuprinted, i.e. have a specialized shop clean them, flow test them, and adjust them to specs.
First solution is easier, faster, cheaper, but of course second solution provides the absolute best results
Its your choice.....

yeah or i have seen shops like pressurize them with air an clean them or claim thats what they do. just dont pay th 40$ service where they put that FI cleaner bottle in, you can do that yourself
I've removed my injectors and dumped the ends in fuel injector cleaner for 24 hours, allot of the carbon was dissolved....but I junked the car right after so I have no idea if it did anything to help flow
