2.25 is just right but it also depends on your mods, i don't think 2.5 is gonna rob you of horsepower though..

Are you being sarcastic El Vap133 ? On a stock b16, 2.5 inch piping is going to cause some power loss. Why don't we all get 3.0 piping then if it doesn't effect anything?

I'd like to see a dyno chart between 2.5 vs 2.25 if there is a gain or loss

It also depends on the bend method. 2.5" for crush, 2.25 for mandrel. And you won't lose power.

No..google>:cut and paste:
Mandrel bends maintains the same ID all the way through the bends. Crush bends are just like they sound; the piping is crushed slightly while bending, decreasing the ID of the pipe.

Mandrel bent is the preferred method, but requires special equipment. Virtually all of your local muffler shops can only crush bend.

geez, h-t has come to this too?

as far as the piping issue, 2.25'' will be just right for your b16. 2.5''+ will be too large and will cause a power loss (lower exhaust gas exit velocity). IMO mandrel bends are a luxury that aren't necessary if you're staying with a stock motor, or a few bolt-ons...it'd be a waste of money. if you're going all motor buildup / FI, however, then i would suggest it.
