Default B18C Help with seals?

I just changed my valve cover and noticed this rubber seal just loose near the oil filler hole on the inside of the valve cover. i thought it might be a cam seal but not 100% sure. Or is this from somewhere else not even pertaining to what i changed.

what is this seal for?

thanks

You mean you found this inside yor head when taking off your valvecover?

It's a cam seal IIRC

so that is the spark plug seal.

The new valve cover i put on, i bought 4 new seals for it and the gasket. So its not a cam seal then right, and i shouldnt be worried about it?

i agree, at first i thought it was the spark plug seal, but after examining it, i don't think it is. maybe the seal around your oil cap came loose?

Diameter measurement or visual size comparison? My beady little slants can't discern the diameter very well.

I would also guess that it came from the oil filler cap.

After taking a look at my car I will have to agree with you, it sure looks to be the seal on the oil cap.
