EF Trailing Arms and the DA discs...
Well, I know the DA arms bolt up to the EF and vice versa. My question is, can you just swap the brake assembly from the DA onto an EF drum arm?
I want to use an unmodified Mugen TA bushing, and I'd rather not blow the money on DC2 TAs for no reason other than the smaller diameter TA bushing. If any of you guys can help me out here, I would greatly appreciate it.
Even if you have some drum TAs that you want to sell, that would be helpful as well....

Hmm, I am not sure if it is possible. I think if you buy the conversion part by part, it will be more expensive in the long run.

from what i remebered, from when i did the rear conversion (using all DA equip.) there are several key diffrences mainly in how the spindles mount to the TA. Also the way the brake lines are ran, i believe they are part of the trailing arm itself at one point. Hope it might help you out some. If you can get some DA spindles first and try it out of you need the TA them buy them. I get most of my junked stuff from honda/acura palace in 626.
good luck

Ok, sounds like this isn't going to be possible. But to clarify, I just want to transfer all the brake components off of the trailing arms on my DA right now to an easy to find EF trailing arm.
But if the spindles don't bolt up properly, then it just won't work. But thank you for the help so far, guys.
Anyone have some pics of Civic TAs?

btw, all trailing arms are same stamp or casting , its just slight slight differences in the spindle that makes the different # of the complete arm... nothing too different that would not allow you to use them.

NOPE.
try again , the DA is the only one to make use of the larger compensator arm bushing. ALL the rest are the same , not the DA though.

Exactly.
Well, it was worth asking. Guess I'll just use the DC2 arms...

No it's not. The DA has a larger diameter hole for the TA bushing. The EF/DC/EG TAs have a smaller diameter hole for the TA bushing. Thus, the arms are not the same. The diffrence is not just the bushing, but the entire arm. You cannot use the Mugen TA bushing in the DA arm off the shelf because it is too small.

please enlighten me , how do you fit a different sized bushing into the same hole ?
