has anyone here had their car counter/cross weigh? basically a scale under each wheel & first you try to the the front's to equal each other & the rear's to equal each other (best if done while you(or a wieght as much as you) are in the car). Then you try to get the Left Front weight + the Right Rear weight to EQUAL the Right Font weight + the Left Rear weight by adsjusting the height of the coilovers.
2ndly - can any alignment shop do this ?
also need a good shop to adjust the camber & caster (a-sport camber kit) - if it matters I will be using tein flex coilvers
Anyone know of QUALITY alignment shops here in NY (preferably upstate)?

make sure you torque the pillowball nuts AND collars properly after the weighing

hate to be a pain but is there anyone in this forum that has a EK (or even EG) that has had their car corner weighed? I am looking for a estimated starting point (ratio) for the amount of weight on the front compared to the rear (proportionally)
EDIT - i know the goal is to get the diagonals equal
if this is a STUPID question just letme know upfront - thanks in advance -Greg
also any other places in NY/MA/VT would be appreciated
thanks RJ but i ain't got sh*t up where I live - looks like I will have to make a long trip to the city

There's no way to reproduce a corner weight from car to car, there's too many variables.
Get out the yellow pages and look for race shops.

FWD cars are generally set up to have 60/40 front/rear

Cornerweighting doesnt have a whole lot to do with static f/r weight distribution - you cant change that.
What you try to do is adjust the right height of the car at each corner, in small increments, so that the cross weights (LR+RF, RR+LF) are roughly equivalent.

Ahh yes, but here in RR/AX we strive for understanding!
Nothing wrong with knowing the hows and whys.

not completely equal , usually within 10% across is just fine.
