battery or alt?
my car just died today after getting gas, when I try to start it up, nothing happened, I mean not even the light or anything. So I asked someone to help me jump start it, it did start, but when I got home, shut it off, and try to start it again, same thing happened again. I think it is the battery since that I had to daive 30 min to get home, but I'm not too sure, can you guys give me any sugg.? By the way, it is a 96 ex, and I already check the fuse and wires, nothing is wrong with that, so I'm just asking to be sure, anything will help, thanks a lot.
sounds like a battery but the best way to find out is to do a battery load test/ alternator load test. hmmm. check the terminal posts to make sure they are clean and tight. corrosion can cause some hard starts too.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: It may be something as simple as dirty conncetions. Check and clean all of your connections before blowing your money on something you may not need.
I'm going for terminals on this one. Alernator should be fine, since it drives okay when jumped. It's odd that even a dead battery wouldn't pull a little charge from the engine while running, and at least turn over once or twice after you shut it off and try to start again. Cleaner your terminals and clamps really good with a wire brush till it's shiny, then try it again. Would suck to get a new battery and have it not work.
