Battery posts clean, connectors without corrosion? The battery should be allowing full starting power. the only other thing I can figure is that the security system such as the engine immobilizer is preventing the car from starting.

you can always start a car with no alternator keep that in mind. but battery would soon die.
any CEL?
you could have 12v but low amperage. get battery checked...buy brand new. does it start if you jump it?

I no longer buy walmart car batteries bc I've had so many of them die within months of purchase. If it's your starter, so sorry. Fck that job, it's a major PITA!

sounds like wire/cable issue being intermitant.

I would get some good grounds. extra grounds. and put new battery terminals on. clean the terminals on the starter. good for another 40k miles

what this guy said.
check for ignition failure. (key in car on. jiggle steering column, key, if it shuts off bad ignition)
or main relay. all this work and checking is free.
either way I would resolder main relay just to refresh it

ok I reread the whole thread. sounds the whole issue is starter/cable issue.

still though. connections needs cleaned. is this car manual by chance?
do you get a solid click though when you turn key and it doesn't start?
starter signal wire popped off starter? power cable tight and clean on it?

maybe pics

starter relay. you have others like it. swap them out in the fuse box. could have fualty relay.
but it def sounds starter related. too bad you live far away.

I notice question present about the alarm....

I did not see if anyone asked if you put the key to the on position when you connected the battery.

Most immobilizers require the key in the ignition and in the on (running not cranking) position when you connect the battery, anything else is considered a security bypass attempt and does not disarm the security.

Yes, I would try that to rule out the security system causing you issues.

ok i tried your way and still had no luck..
i aslo just replaced (5-5-18) the igniton switch sensor and and still no luck..

only time i have luck is when i disconnect the battery and reconnect battery itll start up.. but the second i turn off and TRY restart nothing happens.. even with me wiggling the key on start up nothing happens..

also i put my fingers on the relays (underdash) and each relay clicks when i turn the key over tryn to start

the starters on these things are notorious for going out before 100k, especially if it's an automatic
