IACV removing to clean

Default IACV removing to clean

should i drain out the coolant before i do this or is it necessary. Some say to cap it off or pinch the hose. what is the most effective and headache free

OH this is on a Y7 automatic my idle is still messed up

you don't need to drain the coolant, but it's not like it couldn't hurt. don't want any air in the system do you
