Go to Pep Boys and get the APC filter for $20. I think it's APC, I walked past them when I was buying the Type-R stickers for my Geo.

you can also buy the oil for the filter to clean it, instead of always replacing it. I think they are like $50 for the k&n at kragen.

Wow your autozone is worse than ours. That definately sucks man. K&N will prolly still be good when you get rid of your car, as long as you remember to clean it.

Honestly, if its just a cone filter you're getting, its ok to go with a knock-off brand over the k&n. Those are quite expensive (just the filter can cost up to $150) and there are some cheaper alternatives which are nearly identical.

You are retared. A K&N cone filter is about 40-50 bucks and has a million mile warranty. You can reuse that one as many times as you want

Look, I work at pep boys, selling the very filters (both k&n and apc) that we are referring to, so I know what I am talking about. A civic K&N cone kit retails for $70+, and a kit for my car is $130+. I have held both filters in my hands and they are not significantly different....at least not enough to justify $40-$100 difference in price. You can buy a quality, reuseable cone-filter from many other vendors for around $30 including the adapter (not talking about those cheap cotton cones). Stop sucking k&n dick plz.

BTW - my job is far from glamorous, so dont think im bragging

Look, Im not telling you that you don't know how to do your job..but...oh wait yes I am. You are talking about a KIT (which is the same thing as the whole intake) not just the filter. The cone filters are between 40 and 50 dollars, as I just bought one last week for right around 48 dollars. You don't have to change that paper cone but once and then the K&N has payed for itself. I'm not riding K&Ns sack, but do think it's a good deal and the gentelman who started this thread apparently does too. Those knockoff APC filters are not reusable, and do not offer a warranty. Think about it.

EDIT: I see you're in Raleigh, and your store has very little in the way of K&N filters ( I tried to buy one from you guys before Christmas)
