Why can I not find a k&n filter like the style on my aem sri??? I found one at pep boys ($80)... yeah, right. I feel like the biggest noob but can't find one on ebay or anywhere. any help is appreciated. thanks

 

A filter is a filter. Just get one that has the same diameter as your CAI.

i got a k&n filter for my 3 inch sri for 40 bucks from my local advance auto parts.

wrong-o. cheap filters fall apart and pieces get into your intake manifold and beyond. man, i argue with people too many times about this subject.

i checked there and pep boys, and both dont have them.

 

Pep Boys should be able to special order one and if they can't they aren't working hard enough to get your business so expletive them. Go to another auto parts store in town, tell them the size filter you want and they should be able to get it for you. The store where I work can .

 

go to K&N's site, look up their universal filters. you can find one that meets the dimensions you want and then order it from them or use the part number to check other vendors/retailers.

 

go to importparts.com. Call them and they can get you one for 40-45. Not 80 like pep boys. Dont waste your money.

 

hey actually a a filter isnt just a filter cheaper filters are made with worse quality materials. accrodign to intec racing cheaper filters break down super fast. not only lettign in bigger particles into your motor but peices of the filter are sucked in to.
