OT:daily driver
sorry mods this probably doesn't belong in this forum but...
i am a proud, former,owner of two R's.
i am now in the realm of a 93 rx7 tt. i love this car. however, it is horrible on gas. it is almost paid off, and i would like to purchase a daily driver.
i am thinking about a 99-2000 civic si or integra ls
i am not really going to mod either one, maybe springs and some tint, ayways, what would you buy?
thanks for any input.

Get a four cylinder Toyota truck for a daily driver.
It gets good gas mileage, enables you to haul things around, and makes your car feel much faster after you become accustomed to driving the truck all the time.

That isn't true...you'd get better gas mileage with the SI....smaller engine...
The 1.8 Integras all get the same gas mileage....from the LS to the Type R, they all get 25-30.

nah.. the V6 is where it's at..
I drive a 1999 Toyota Tacoma SR5 V6 TRD everyday.. it's nice, good ride, has a bit of pep, and can haul the ITR behind it.. my roommate has a 4cyl tacoma.. it's a decent truck, but not enough power for any heavier uses..

Between the Si and the LS, I'd take the LS purely for it's more practical hatchback configuration. That, and IMO a B18B is far more pleasant to drive around town than a B16A.
However, if I were looking for a beater I'd get an early '80s Mercedes-Benz 300D turbodiesel. Reliable as gravity and so solid it makes bank vaults seem flimsy.
