Default need a few estimates on my project setup......

since it's wintertime here we have to wait a few months until the tracks are good to go. and since they aren't open yet. i am hoping a few of you could give me a few idea's on how well the project car will do.

chassis:

1997 civic dx~~~

gutted interior except for dash
removed rear rebar as well
removed ac

suspension:

tokico adjustables & tokico springs

(this is all for the mean time until we can afford the s2 drag launch kit)

stock 14" steelies soon to be wrapped with azenis sports or road race slicks

engine:

b20b4 block(usdm pistons and rods at the moment), b16a3 head, skunk2 intake manifold, itr throttle body, ctr intake camshaft, b16 exhaust camshaft, an-r standard header, apexi ws exhaust(will be ran open header at the track), hondata insulator gasket, p30 ecu

transmission:

del sol vtec(i believe y21), stock flywheel, either oem clutch or act 6 puck(depends on the money scenario), edelbrock short shifter

i'm curious to see what people's ideas on what we will run, or what you have run with a similar setup.

Bump this man....! nice setup indeed.... I too would like to hear what you guys think.

I personally think it will run a 13.8 or low 14'z.

i belive you would benefit greatly from an itr/ctr exhaust cam.

also...the all motor forum would be a better spot for this post.

at this point. i'm borderline skeptic on the ctr/itr cams because i'm very concerned with the reliefs on the pistons in the b20b4 block as to whether or not i'd have to cut the valve reliefs.

but i chose the drag racing forum because this car will be just that a drag car, the motor is one thing, but i'm looking for an all around view on my overall setup with the car, suspension, motor/tranny ecu combo. etc.

With good traction I think it would be good for a low 14 or high 13. Reliefs on crv pistons arnt to good, but i'm surprised the ctr intake cam isnt hitting.

13.4-13.6 depend on how good of a driver you are I have a friend with ls/vtec that I built for him ran a 13.8 at 104.00mph at cmi.

curious though, how would he benefit more from a CTR exhaust cam, then a intake cam? or did you mean, he would benefit from both ctr cams?
