Do I need to reset my computer after installing my jdm header, carsound cat, 2.5" straight pipe. I have my timing advanced to 18 degrees. I hear our computers don't respond to mods well so what do I need to do to get the best out of my mods? Will reseting my computer help & will that affect my advance timing, for instance do I need to set my timing back to stock then short the plug under the glove box to advance timing again if I reset my computer? Thanks for your input in advance.
The computer will "re-learn" with your new mods..so you don't have to reset it. Reseting the computer will not affect your base timing at all.

The NTPOG prelude guys, which are supposed the be the brains in the prelude community, say that you need to reset the ecu daily to keep any gains.

hook up battery again... and then i think i read somewhere that you let your car idle for 15 minutes so your ECU can adjust to your new mods.

then plug everything back in.....
and start it up.....
let it idle for another smoke..... shut it off.....start it later after having another smoke..then I'm off!
****.....always seem to finish more smokes during a reset....!
