ITR ECU in 00 SI ? Question

Default ITR ECU in 00 SI ? Question

has anyone tried it ? and is it worth it.. Currently i have an si with a type r top end ?

and i want to know if i get an r ecu will it run better ? i am getting a 00 r ecu

should i have any problems and what do you guys think ?

Since the R ECU is programed for a 1.8, I would guess it would probably dump a little too much fuel into your 1.6 . A better Idea for you would be to run a OBD2-OBD1 conversion along with a chipped P28.

ok if u are getting the usdm itr ecu it wont work because itr has a special chip in the ignition so the ecu and the ignition have to be the same

as said above you'll have problems with the immobilizer...
if you really want a different ECU i say go with an OBDI jumper and a chipped OBDI ECU.

Best idea/better way to do it

I read this in the EF forum, first thing I thought was immobilizer....

Just a heads up i put the ecu in last night and the car feels 100% better

it works you just have to move a pin and take the imm out. you have a chk light but the ecu is not in limp mode
