Ok, after getting most of the wiring done I realized somehow I grabbed 14g wire instead of 18, will this cause problems for the injector signal? It wouldnt be much to disconnect what I've got done, just need to re-solder the wires. I need an answear asap, tryin to get this done before 3. Thanks!

i have been wrencking for too many years recount ... this happens all the time
even to brand newcars at the dealer. what you did increase the path for current
to flow but it will also have more resistance due to increased wounded wire.

i'm sure the honda engineers do not depend on the wires to the injectors to act partially as resistors. they probably use a large enough size wire so that there is minimal resistance in the wire and instead they make the correct resistance in the resistor box & ecu. therefore, using a larger-than-stock size wire would not do any damage.

I don't think some people realize that 14AWG is LARGER than 18AWG. The ECU is only going to output as much power as it ever would so going larger is like having a highway with an extra lane so more power COULD go through easier because of LESS resistance but if the ECU isn't outputting that than it doesn't matter. 14AWG should be perfectly fine.

I am certified by Toyota for Electrical Diagnosis so that is where I am speaking from.

Well I just threw some 4g in there to see what would happen...heh, not really. I just went to autozone early this morning and picked up the 18, better safe than sorry and major props to your writeup 4thgen, I had about 4 different ones, almost all of them contrdicted each other so I just used yours. for you. I figured I'd better do it right the first time than have to go back and redo stuff. thanks!
