Default changing box, outcome?

well ive had a 15" rockford hx2. me enclosure is 3 cu. ft. tuned to 30hz. i had a sony "1000w" amp runnin it.

if i put the sub in a 6cu. ft box tuned to 30 hz and power it with a rockford 500s amp do you think it would hit louder/lower?

It will be louder, if you are not reaching full excursion already. Doubling the box size will make a sub play about 3db louder, until it hits xmax anyway
