GARRETT makes the turbo
T3 turbine housing

50 TRIM WHEEL ???

TO4E compressor housing

A/R is the area/radius of the housing... its basically the size of the tube in the housing that air flows through/ divided by the distance from the center of the housing to the outer most point. Basically it tells you how big it is.

Trim tells you the relation of the size between the inducer and exducer of a wheel. Inducer is the name for the blades that bring the air in and Exducer is the name for the blades that push the air out. Trim of a compressor wheel is measured by taking the (inducer^2)/(exducer^2) X 100. Turbine wheel trim is found in the same way but you take (exducer^2)/(inducer^2) X 100... A larger trim doesn't nessacarily mean a bigger wheel. The most import spec is the Inducer diameter.. With the E family of wheels(what they use in the T3/T04E's) they make it easy and use a 2.9" exducer on almost all their wheels(except the 50 trim, which uses a 3") so the trim is basically telling the size of the inducer wheel.
