When going from 8psi to 12+ on the Drag turbo is it a huge Difference bc of efficiency?

I heard that this turbo doesn't start making good power till about 10psi. So I am assuming that besides the fact that you are turning the boost way up. The efficency of the turbo is also increasing so you'd get more power. For instance, the power gain going from 12 to 15psi even though its only 3 psi would be greater then the gain going from 7 to 10 psi?

Sorry just trying to understand the efficency asspect of the turbos.

thanks for a more then one word asnwer. Id like to know what is the most power that can be acheived with the drag t3/t4 turbo. Basically This is the setup I want to use and Boostfed has already said I should hit my goals but let me just put em out there

Sleeved gsr Block
9:1 Compression
JG Intake Manifold
INline Pro Exhaust Manifold
and some type R cams
Hondata for tunning

Can I hit 400+whp with that setup keeping the drag turbo?

I know once I build it I can always get a bigger and better turbo but Id like to stretch the T3/t4 as far as it will go because I think it has good spool up with some decent power potential.

I made 370whp and 276 ft-lb torque with the DRAG 3 kit, my turbo was supposed to be a T3/T04B Super V trim and Stage 3 turbine btu it was actually an S trim smallest compressor wheel and a stage 1 turbine wheel. That was at 21psi so I see you having no problems making 400whp with that set up in my opinion at least.

Cool, Then if I want to jump from that turbo once I get used to 400 or so whp. Like everyone always does, regardless of their original goals. What would you recomend and the next step up from the t3/t4

Prolly an SC61 it is bigger and more efficient than even a T3/60-1. Or a Full Race T3/T67 would be KILLER! Then it's going to a straight T4 turbo.

my suplier tells me that a precision turbo is just another garret turbo w/ off the shelf parts form their diesel applications, they basicly took a ton of parts form different apps ad threw them together, and sold them for way more money, that's why they wont release compressor maps for the precision turbos, least this is what i am told...
