hey so i bought a autozone type driveshaft for cheap with a lifetime warrenty and i took out my old one , and i only bought the outer part of the drivers side driveshatf , now i have to detatch the inner part off the old one , how do i do that , i cant get it off by pulling on it ??

 

with a pry bar or big screw driver

 

i dont have a play to get leverage or to "pry"

 

then set it flat on the ground maybe even duck tape it to the floor so it dont roll real easy get a big screw driver and tap it in with a hammer and twist the screw driver then you can get it from there

and yeah thats a good ida to go ahead and pull my tranny do you know if it will come out without pulling my motor

i still cant remove my inner shaft from the outer shaft , how do i remove it , its nto workign please help

Use a small sledgehammer. Give it a good wack on the inboard joint. It'll pop out. Forget all that prying stuff...you'll poke your eye out.

 

im still trying and nothing is working i even hit it with pbc blaster

 

i need to have them seperated by tommarrow please help , its not budging even when hitiing it , where should i hit it btw ??

**** it , i brought it to a place and they took it apart for free . they wouldnt tell me how they got it off though ,but took them about 10 mins or so
