Passenger Side axel help on ep3
I pulled the axels today the drivers is like the ol school setup but the passenger side has a half shaft i removed it all as one wich was easy, But now I'm trying to seperate the half shaft from the axel,Ive been prying it and also banging on the pry bar abit but nothing is there a trick to removing it from the
half shift? I dont wanna damage it and I've been putting hands on it for a few hours now any info on this would be great

Theres a ring on the end of it that sits in a groove and thats whats keeping it on. Just try a little harder it should pop out. I always have to hammer mine out.

Ya it's hard as hell to get them apart. It's better to leave the half shaft bolted to the block and get the tool that's like a slide hammer with the end that looks like a shift fork to go on the axel and pull it out that way.

My passenger side always gets stuck... drives me nuts... I use a fat 1/2" extension and a hammer. I place the open square end of the extension on the halfshaft and slam the extension with the hammer to seperate them... drives me nuts

Yea..I got a nice three pound auto sledge and used the pointed side
to pound it out!Glad,I took the half shaft out also cause it would've b
been a lil cramped trying to man handle that *****...
