Default Type-r piston

I will buy an engine from a guy that put P073-a0 piston in his b16a first gen
and he told me that give higher compression: i am sure that it's false it suppose to drop the compression ratio to 9.7:1...

Wath are the disavatage to run these piston in a b16a and what the advantage...?

ok: lower comp/rat = turbo setup
higher = N/A

But is there someting to know about these piston that could change my idea to buy this engine.

Thanks

type r pistons in teh b16a will RAISE the compression to about 11:1. If u gonna turbo then u don't want this engine. Advantage = higher compression = faster
Disadvantage = higher octane gas, more heat, etc

If u gonna turbo, go for the LS

wrong itr pistons have a much smaller dome than b16 pistons

puting itr pistons in a b16 will lower cr not raise it

Ah ****....
my bad....guess it's back to more research

so if one wanted to raise compression for a b16a, which type of OEM pistons would be applicable?

Also why do the magazines always talk about ITR pistons raising compression?

you want civic type-r pistons not integra p30 or p73 to raise the compression

CTR pct pistons , mad dome like the one I use on your moms

lol
