Default silly question: '99-'00 si seats fit in itr?

They look similar, but I haven't compared them side by side.

Do they bolt right in, or with a rail/ slider swap?

Why would you want to do a thing like that??

Most uncomfortable Honda seats ever! Hard as a rock and no support whatsoever

Hey Ken

All you have to do is change the sliders on them. I took the ones off my Si seats and put them on the ITR's bolted them right into the Si. Then I put my ITR rails on the Si seats and a guy with an older hatch got them and bolted right in with the teg rails.

I agree not the best OEM seats though.

Later - Dusty

Dusty is correct Ken. I did the same thing in my old coupe. It's easy!

They may not be the best seats honda ever made, but they're better than the eg dx seats I've got in my itr currently.....

As for how to fit them in, thanks Dusty and Ben!

What year was your coupe Ben?

And Dusty, you sold your car yet or what? You go through more cars than anyone I know.....

Hey Ken -

Not yet I am working with a few people on the car right now so we will see who gets it I guess. Not really sure what I will get next. I really Want a 98 Type-R but it will have to be in excellent condition with no major mods. The ITR suits me in stock or close to stock form. Looked at the TSX and new TL excellent cars both of them I like the TL better though. But both are also more money than I want to spend though right now.

Ben's coupe was between 96-98 but he will confirm I am sure.

I can agree to that. I like the EP3 seats.

probably true- but the Si seats are pretty awful. My roommate used to have a 00 Si and going back and forth between his car and mine, the big difference was the seats. (oh, and that Type-R ownz j0000, lol)

but seriously - maybe something else as cheap? The 1990 Si seats that I took out of my race car when it was stock are far better then the 2000 Si seats even. I don't know if/how they would bolt up. probably a change of the rails like others were talking. come to think of it, I still have both of those 1990 Si seats, but not sure of the condition, one is really good, i think the other has a little worn/tear spot.

Yeah, i test drove a 99 Si coupe. All the ricers and y0 boys put so much hype on these things (it was even EBP y0!) that i thought maybe they were cool.

I tried to like it... i really did... but just couldnt. No ***** below 6K, the seat was god awful, the seating position made me feel like i was driving a bus, and i didnt think it stopped or handled all that well either.

yeah, there's something to that- I think the seat height is a bit higher. i always told him the car would be a lot more enjoyable with some better seats. he didn't listen though, bought a WRX instead

It's a long story, but basically I wrecked a MINT '00 itr and bought it back from insurance. Stripped it bare and put most of it in my hatch. I bought an '01 itr and sold the front and rear seats b/c they had some blemishes and cigarette burns on them. I still have th MINT set of itr seats from my '00, but didn't want to put them in since the windows aren't tinted and I don't want them to fade or get used if I'm going to sell them..... I have been meaning to get some BRIDE BRIX II seats for a while now, but in the meantime I've been borrowing Cosworth's eg dx seats..... Now if I have a chance to step up (since I daily drive this thing), I'd like to at least try out the Si seats.....

sooooo.... you actually have the ITR seats but don't want the sunlight to fade them. wow. you're more picky then me. only **** thing i did was put the original floor mats in trashbags when i got them and replaced with exact replicas from ahmotors.com, lol

I'm actually worse than you thought: I covered the itr floor mats with clear floor mats...

After the accident, I put them in the garage too.....

I also have the MINT armrest, door panels, interior, and carpet, dash, etc.....

Ya they'll fit....but make sure that you tie it down correctly or a good alarm system, cuz my friend actually got his stolen in less than 5 minutes returning from one of his errands

.....well i got the 00 si seats into my R tonight.

The side bolstering is less than even dx eg seats... but the fabric is much better, and so is the headrest. I also kinda like the little butt bolster dials.....

Now I'm beginning to wonder what gsr leathers would be like in an itr......
