Default how to tell which is + and what is - on tweeters

i bought some infinity kappa 6x8's (ford sucks) some time ago and it would seem that infinity uses suck *** glue because already two of the tweeters' glue has failed breaking the wires on the tweeter.

soo... i was gonna put them back on with some 2-part epoxy but i don't know which is positive and which is negitive

any help would be greatly appriciated

There really is no + or - it is just used so you keep the correct phase. I would check with the manufacturer because there is no other way to tell.

now this is one of the very few cases where a AA battery wouldn't be useful. lol.

I find it that most people can not tell a differences if the polarity is switched, especially with the tweeters. chances are, as long as the polarity on both sides are the sub, you won't hear any difference. Human ears sucks.

Actually that would work if the tweeter doesn't have a crossover connected to it. You also wouldn't want to leave this connected for very long. Or you will burn your tweeters. Connect the + and - up to the tweeter watch wich way the cone moves. If it moves out then the wire connected to the + is the +. If it moves in then swap the wires.

The tweeters will be moving 2000+ cycles per minute, it is very hard to tell if they are out of phase. I would just recommend making sure that both sides are done the same.

Also with the crossover in the way the signal would not go through, hence the recommendation by nsxextreme to bypass if you do decide to try
