Never heard of Spark racing. I hope to make 300-350hp to the wheels. Don't know if I can do that with a drag kit since I hear the intercooler is smaller than I want and there are other things that I would need to upgrade. So far looks like the Drag because of the price.

i suggest a (if you don't feel like doing custom) revhard kit , hondata and some 720's....maybe a thicker headgasket and ARP's if you want. Dont' worry about building the motor yet, you can make that power easily and safely on a stock b18c1. keep it simple to start out with
What about the threat of blowing something? Its my only car and I drive it every day. I don't want to have it down for another 5 weeks and have to tear it apart again.

I wouldn't say just that! I have experience to say that your block reliability relies on the history of the block (strong/weak) and TUNING! keep it simple is key, but always be logical. I thought i was keeping it safe and tuned my car with a standalone, but i blew my motor. it was at 300whp and blew on the dyno session.
SLEEVE IT! cause your horsepower goals will just keep increasing

Heehee, I was going to buy another (used Miata or something similar) car in the near future. The block is already at the machine shop being worked on. It's going to have darton sleeves when it's done. Anyone know the difference between the sizes of pistons and what the advantages are? I think the shop recommended 84mm. Sorry I'm a turbo nub. =P
84mm will be good becuase it is a standerd piston size and not so much as a custom size as a 83mm bore is, so it will cost you cheaper, and it will also leave you some strength in the sleeves,heh. i dont know why u say the drag kit becuase of price, becuz everywhere i see the drag is always advertised more then the revhard kit

Thanks for the advice on the piston size. The only reason I say Drag is because I have three friends who have some sort of a connection to that company and their products. I'm not saying it's going to be a super hook up, it's just that they have offered to give me something at a better than retail price.
