Default those of you with HIDs...help

ok, i just got HIDs from a 2002-TL and i have a '94 teg...i was putting on the HIDs and it worked for a couple of seconds, but my fuse was blown...and then i tried 10-watts...BLOWN....15-watts....BLOWN.....20-watts......BLOWN....30-watts....NOTHING HAPPENED...the HIDs did not even turn on....and on the bulb, it said 35W....

have u guys ever experienced this?!?!?! does anyone have any clue as to what i should do? thanx

Have you checked your wiring and made sure nothing is reversed? A 20w fuse works for me.

yea i check everything ..there are only 2 wires that i need to connect...red and black...

20 fuse, thats it when i installed mine i forgot to switch them to i blew them...g..check if their reversed maybe the red is really a ground...you never know.

if the wires reversed will anything will happen??...but i saw them work..then later the fuse blow

no, the fuse will just blow......one of mine were reversed...but mine were yellow and brown....i know a few other ht'ers had the same prob

ok, the HID on the passenger side works fine...but the one on the driver's side does not work...i tried to reverse the wires and nothing happened...i used the 30-watt fuse, but it still doesn't work even though the passenger side works....

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated...thanx!!

can it be the ballast?? how can i check if the ballast work or not?

swap sides on the ballast and see if the problem follows... if so then it's the ballast. If not then it's something else.

20amp is all you need. Check the bulbs and ballasts on each side of the car to see what is up

depends on what kind of problem it has.. mostlikely you'll have to find another ballast i don't think anyone actually fixes these things. the 15 amp fuse works for me.

can i open the ballast and see whats wrong?? maybe a loose wires?
