Looks are nice and all, but go out to a shop/store and try on the different brands and models. Some ppl have Shoei heads and some ppl have Arai heads. Also keep in mind that Arai has several different models, which all of the three cater to different head shapes. Good luck and ride safe.

You'll just have to go out and try each one of them on, each model of helmet has a different head shape to it. Some will have pressure points that suck while others are comfy. The one that fit me the best was the Arai Rx7-rr4. Just make sure that the helmet you get is DOT and Snell approved, I don't think Snell is required but DOT is. You should never forget to wear your helmet man!!!! Happy hunting

I just got my Arai RX7-RR today, and it blows away any Shoei I ever had (RF700, RF800), but it cost a pretty penny. There aint nothing wrong with Shoeis, it's just that I always wanted an Arai.

It might. If you're not sure about the condition of your helmet, send it in to the manufacturer to have it checked out. I know Shoei offers this service free of charge (except you pay shipping to them).

No, this is not what they're designed to protect against. You could try it and prove me wrong (or right). They're designed for single high speed impact absorption. Auto racing helmets are designed for multiple impact and often incorporated with an anti whiplash system.

I think if a car is running over your helmet with your head in it, your head is just one of your many many problems. Most likely it would snap your neck.

If your still looking for a helmet I have a brand new one that has never been out on a ride. It is Arai's top model , the Arai Hayden RX7 in size (M). It is mostly red with silver mettalic blades and some yellow wire wrapping around the blades. Payed about $640 , will sell for $495 b4 shipping.

I dont have the ability to post pics but I'm pretty sure you can find one on the net somewhere.

Like what Greybomber said , try on a few at the shops and see what suits your head.

Buy a helmet that fits your head snugly feels comfortable. Most of them today are DOT and Snell approved which you should also look for. My HJC fits my head better than any SHoei or Arai I've ever worn. When you're going over 70 and you turn your head to look over your shoulder, my dad's shoei felt like it was gonna pull my head off due to the wind getting into it.
